Bounce Rental
If the weather forecast shows a 50% or higher chance of rain and you choose to cancel, we’ll issue a full refund. We do suggest reviewing the full forecast carefully — local reports often don’t specify when or how long the rain will last. In most cases, rain won’t fall during your actual party hours. Please contact us the day before your event if you’re thinking about canceling. For light or scattered showers, we generally recommend going ahead with your rental. However, if the forecast calls for steady rain throughout the day, we’ll advise you to cancel your reservation.
If it begins to rain but the wind is under 15mph, you can leave the inflatable up. When the rain slows or stops, simply dry off the inside of the Moon Bounce before letting the kids back in. They usually don’t mind a little rain—they just want to keep jumping! Keep in mind that the vinyl surface can get very slippery when wet, so be sure it’s completely dry. If the wind picks up above 15mph, deflate the Moon Bounce and cover it with the tarp provided.
There’s a few key questions that anyone should be asking before renting a moonjump or bounce house.
Does it have a safety ramp? – If not, don’t rent it! A company that skips the ramp to save a couple hundred dollars isn’t putting safety first.
What size is the moon bounce? – Choose the largest one that comfortably fits your space. More room means safer play. A 15×15 unit is ideal whenever you can fit it.
How old is the moon bounce? – Newer inflatables come with improved safety features, stronger stitching, and fire-retardant vinyl. Renting an older or poorly maintained unit could leave you responsible if something breaks.
How is the moon bounce cleaned? – Make sure they use an antibacterial disinfectant. If they can’t tell you what they use, it probably means they’re not using a proper cleaner.
If wind speeds go over 15 mph, the moon bounce must be turned off right away—no exceptions. Safety always comes first.
Of course! Our team works hard on weekends setting up and taking down the equipment, often in the heat or rain. If your delivery person provides great service, feel free to show your appreciation. Typical tips range from $10 to $50, depending on the amount of equipment and how tricky the setup is.
Moon bounces usually come in three backyard-friendly sizes: 11×11, 13×13, and 15×15. Pick the largest one that fits in your space—more room means the kids can jump safely without bumping into each other. Before renting, double-check the size you’re getting so you don’t accidentally pay for a 15×15 unit when you’re actually ordering an 11×11 or 13×13.
It really depends on the unit and service. Lower-cost moon bounces are cheaper to rent, but higher-quality inflatables with the latest safety features and better bounce come at a higher price. If you want full service—delivery, setup, instructions, and pickup—you’ll pay more. If you’re willing to pick up, set up, and return the unit yourself, you can usually save around $20.
We used to offer hourly rentals, but almost everyone ended up needing the inflatable for longer than expected. Parties often start late, guests arrive late, or kids simply want more time to play. It’s very uncommon for a jump to go unused before the end of an 8-hour rental. Renting for the full day takes the stress off—you won’t have to worry about setup, teardown, or timing while your guests are enjoying the party.
Yes—there should always be an adult watching the Moon Bounce. The key responsibilities are controlling how many kids are inside at once and making sure they’re roughly the same size, keeping everyone safe while they jump.
To keep everyone safe, please follow these guidelines: no food or drinks, no shoes, no sharp objects, no exposed metal zippers, and no medical conditions such as pregnancy. Roughhousing, flips, hanging on the netting, or using items like Silly String or sand are also prohibited.
Yes—it can be anchored with sandbags instead of stakes. However, we strongly recommend setting it up on grass whenever possible. Cement is much harder if someone slips getting in or out, which increases the risk of injury. There is also an extra charge for setups on hard surfaces.
The Moon Bounce must be within 75 feet of a power outlet. While longer extension cords can be used, the blower may lose power over distance. The ground should be mostly level—no more than an 8-inch difference from one end to the other. Greater slopes can cause kids to bounce downhill and collide, which isn’t safe.
